blackjack
Blackjack, also known as "21," is one of the more popular and recognizable casino games. This is a card game in which the patron squares off against the dealer. The object of blackjack is to get the total value of your cards as close to 21 as possible, without going over, or "busting." The dealer deals two cards to the player, and himself, one showing, one face down. The player then has the option to receive another card from the dealer, or "hit," or sticking with the score produced by the 2 cards you already have, or "staying." Ex. If your two cards are a 5 and a 3 (total score of 8) then you want to hit. (You can hit as many times as you like, but don't bust!) If your two cards are a 10 and a 9 (total score of 19) then you want to stay. There are all sorts of options that can increase your winnings, such as doubling down or splitting. In both instances, you double the bet, and therefore, have a chance to double the winnings.
Blackjack is such a popular game in casinos because it is one of the easier games to pick up and enjoy, as early as your first time gambling. But don't bank on winning just because it seems like a very simple game… the dealers are professionals who have enough experience to know the outcome of a hand before it happens.
