gambling
Isn't it great when you find a $5 bill on the ground? There aren't many feelings that can top getting something for nothing. It is for this reason that people have gambled, do gamble, and will continue gambling. Gambling caters to the ever-popular want of wealth. Slews of people head to Las Vegas and Atlantic City daily, hoping to get their slice of proverbial money pie. For the most part, gamblers are going to invariably lose their money. However, there are those few
casinos poster-children who have hit the 1 in a million odds and walked away with the riches they so badly sought. Unfortunately, these people account for such a small portion of the gambling patrons on a whole, that it shouldn't count for much.
Gambling falls under the heading of sport, hobby and vice. It can become an intense addiction for some, whilst acting as a weekend getaway for others. It can be a friendly wager on the Superbowl, or an illegal bet on practically anything. A wise man once said, "you've got to spend money to make money." That is more or less the logic of gambling. Betting the money that you already have, to try and make more of it.
